Environmental, Health & Safety

The management of Triana Energy has adopted the Guiding Principles that it used to earn certification for its Columbia subsidiary under ISO-14001 as an environmentally excellent company. 

  • Comply with applicable laws, regulations, internal and industry standards that Triana may adopt.
  • Assure that effective programs are adopted implemented and maintained to cover environmental, health and safety aspects of the company.
  • Prevent or mitigate all known impacts that the company’s operations may have and seek for continuous improvement in its practices.
  • Promote awareness and responsibility through training and communication for management, employees, contractors, and the public.
  • Support the enactment of responsible laws, regulations, and public policies.
  • Maintain effective communications with appropriate government and regulatory agencies, and other affected parties as part of the permitting, construction and operation of facilities.
  • Support research to identify and develop effective practices and technologies that prevent or mitigate adverse impacts from the company’s operations.
  • Promote environmental conservation, the prevention of pollution and continual improvement throughout the company.
  • Establish and implement objectives and targets for those aspects of the company’s operations that have potential to impact the environment.
  • Recognize and reward superior performance and utilize appropriate disciplinary action for violation of company policies.
